2 Thefirst year annual examination shall be held at the end of theFirst Year. The second year annual examination shall be heldat the end of the second year. The third year annual examinationshall be held at the end of the third year.(i)No candidate shall be admitted to enter upon theFirst Year Course unless he has passed thehigher secondary school certificate examination ofthe Maharashtra State Board of Higher SecondaryEducation or an equivalent examination of any otherstatutory Board or University with English as apassing Subject.(ii)N o candidate shall be admitted to the annualexamination of the second year unless he haskept two terms satisfactorily for the same at thecollege affiliated to this University.
3 (iii)N o candidate shall be admitted to the annualexamination of the second year unless he haskept two terms satisfactorily for the same at thecollege affiliated to this University.(iv)No candidate shall be admitted to third yearexamination of the Course unless he has passedin all the paper at the first year Examinationand has satisfactorily kept the terms for the secondyear and also two terms for the third year of in a college affiliated to this / 6 Bachelor of Arts ( )(1)The student joining the First Year Course shall offersix subjects as follows :(i)The student can offer not more than one subjectfrom one group.(ii)Subject in Group A is compulsory.(iii)The student has to offer at least one language fromGroup B or Group C or Group J.

Statistics, Applied Mathematics,Mathematical Pre-requisites, AppliedStatistics, Ancient Indian History M .. , Adult Education.(II)In the second year, the student shall decide whether hewants to study for the (General) or the (Special)degree:(a)(i)The student studying for the (General)Degree shall study the following subjectsin the Second Year :(1)Compulsory English.(2-6) Same five subjects offered in the FirstYear.(ii)The student studying for the (General)Degree shall study the following subjectsin the Third Year :(1)Compulsory English.(2-6) Same five subjects offered in the Firstand Second Years.(b)(i)The student studying for the (Special)Degree shall study the following subjectsin the Second Year / 8(1)Compulsory English.
6 (2-4) One paper each at General level of thethree subjects chosen out of the five subjectsoffered in the First Year.(5-6) Two papers at Special level of onesubject chosen as a Special Subject out ofthe three subjects offered at General level.(ii)The student studying for the (Special)Degree shall study the following subjectsin the Third Year :(1)Compulsory English.(2-4) One Paper each at General Level of thethree subjects offered in the Second Year.(5-6) Two Papers at the Special level of thesubject chosen as a special subject in theSecond Year.(c)Normally, students are not allowed to change thesubject at the second or third year offered by himat the first year. However, as a very special case,a student may be allowed to offer a special subjectat the second year even though he may not haveoffered the same at the first year.
7 In such case heshould have passed his first year examination in allthe papers and he will have to complete the firstyear paper in that new subject at the second yearbefore he goes to the third year. No change ofsubject will be allowed at the Third / 9(III)Examinations :(1)There shall be examination at the end of the FirstYear which shall be called Annual Annual Examination of each subject will be of100 marks.(2)The Annual Examination will be of three where the practical examinationcentre is located will take the responsibility ofarranging the practical Examination(3)The practical examination will be of 100 markswill be held only at the end of the year. There shallbe no Term End Practical examination.
8 Thepractical examination wherever laid down will beconducted before the commencement of the Annual(Theory) Examination. For Practice of appointingboth internal examiners will practical examination at second and thirdyear both the examiners will be College where the practical examination centreis located, will take the responsibility ofarranging the practical examination.(IV) Standard of Passing :(1)The candidate who has secured at least 40 marksout of 100 in the Annual examination shall bedeclared to have passed in the paper.(2)The candidate failing to secure 40 marks in theAnnual examination shall have to appear forsubsequent Annual examination in that / 10(3)The University shall conduct the SupplementaryAnnual Examination in October for Third Yearpapers only for the repeater student so as to enablehim to save some time.
9 (4)The students having the backlog of subject orsubjects of the Second Year will be requiredto clear the same only in the next April/MayExamination.(V)Award of Class :The class should be awarded to the student on theaggregate marks obtained by him at the First YearExamination. And, in respect of & on the aggregate marks in the Second Yearand Third Year Examination and in respect of awardof class shall be as follows :(1)Aggregate 70% and Class with dist.(2)Aggregate 60% and Class(3)Aggregate 55% and Second Classbut less than 60%(4)Aggregate 50% and Classbut less than 60%(5)Aggregate 40% and Classbut less than 50%(6)Below 40%.. FailUniversity Terms : The dates for the commencement andconclusion of the first and the second terms shall be determinedby the University authorities.
10 The terms can be kept by onlyduly admitted student. The present relevant ordinancespertaining to grant of terms will be applicable.(iii)A candidate shall have the option of answering thequestion in any of the subjects other than languages either inMarathi or in / 11(iv) In the case of languages, question shall be answeredin the media as indicated below except those questions whichrequire translation into particular MediaSanskrit, Pali, Ardhamagadhi .. The same language orEnglish or Persian, Urdu orEnglishMarathi, Gujarathi, Kannada, .. The same , Hindi, EnglishFrench, The same language candidete taking the courses for the first year orsecond year examination as the case may be, may be permittedby the Principal of the College to change any of the subjectsin the course selected by him for particular year before thecommencement of the second term.
