Its Build DataInterpreter (BDI) provides comprehensive status derivation for aircraft and otherconfiguration-managed assets. For example, the Build Data Interpreter checks anactual aircraft, position by position, to ensure that its configuration rules complywith its nominated configuration. The Build Data Interpreter reports the status ofnoncompliant assets in the Assets (CM) application. It also alerts you to problemassets through color-coded data in various Asset Configuration Manager provides the capability to display thestructure of an asset as of a past date. This feature is in the Assets (CM)application. The Assets (CM) application also displays maintenance, meter, installation, and removal history as of a past date.

maximo Asset ConfigurationManager contains applications that are designed specifically for asset configurationmanagement. Some applications are enhanced versions of standard IBM MaximoAsset Management applications. These enhanced applications include fields, features, and actions that are specific to asset configuration 's new in maximo Asset Configuration Manager features and capabilities in maximo Asset Configuration Manager helpyour organization achieve greater efficiency in asset systems with models to standardize definitions andspecify configuration rules for the systemsYou can now define a master list of systems that can be applied to multiple modelsto standardize engineering definitions. To better understand system dependenciesand relationships, you can now view functional representations of an asset and itssystems and also see which systems are associated with a particular build insights can help you to define system-specific configuration rules.

Learnmore about associating systems with the new Asset Roles and Capabilities application to managethe operational readiness of assetsBy using the new application, you can define asset roles and capabilities andspecify the relationships between roles, capabilities, and systems. You can alsoidentify the configuration status of an asset to determine whether it can satisfyspecified roles. Learn more about the new Asset Roles and Capabilities application. Copyright IBM Corp. 2008, 20161 Filter and sort the records on the Maintenance Plan tab of theAssets applicationYou can now find tasks more easily in the Assets application, because you canfilter and sort on a wider selection of columns than previously 's new in maximo Asset Configuration Manager release includes changes that help you manage maintenance and specify whenitems can be substituted for other flexibility in managing maintenance planningThis release features a number of enhancements to give you greater control whenyou plan maintenance.

You can now specify when preventive maintenance was lastdone and next due. You can associate a technical record with the range of itemnumbers that the technical record applies to. Also, to save time, you can updatethe Active Date Reviewedfield simultaneously for multiple maintenance planrecords. Learn more about managing maintenance items is made easier with interchangeability rulesYou can now define interchangeability rules for the item numbers that areassociated with the build positions on a model. You can specify that one item canbe replaced by another, that either of two items can replace each other, or that anitem can be replaced only by an item with the same item number. Learn moreabout 's new in maximo Asset Configuration Manager release includes a performance enhancement in the build data interpreter(BDI) service.

This release also comes with the option to configure a of validation by the BDI serviceThe BDI service now supports validation for aircraft weight and balance reportingand revised support for minimum equipment lists. Support for a multitenancyenvironment is also added. Learn more about the BDI a multitenancy environment to reduce IT infrastructurecostsSelecting the multitenancy installation option creates a separation of the databaseto enable multiple independent tenant entities to co-exist in the same instance ofthe database. Individual tenants within a multitenancy environment can maintaintheir own data, configurations, workflow, and reports. The multitenancy option isintended for use, primarily, by hosting companies that want to reduce ITinfrastructure costs.
