The 3 Series benefi ts from technology that's been refi ned through 30 years of research, engineering advancements, and manufacturing experience - all at a great price point. The 3 Series 300A11 offers two-stage scroll compressors and 5-Speed ECM blowers for high effi ciency and quiet operation while our Aurora controls platform provides simple setup and diagnosis. It's our fi rst residential unit to come standard with durable all-aluminum air coils for formicary corrosion protection and our proprietary AlumiSealTM coating option for extra peace of mind. All models utilize ozone-safe R410A refrigerant to meet the most stringent EPA requirements. The 3 Series is available in fi ve dual capacity sizes (2 to 6 ton) with Copeland Scroll UltraTech compressors. 5-Speed ECM blower motors bridge the gap of high effi ciency ECM capability with great value. ECM blowers are used to increase comfort, effi ciency, and airfl ow fl exibility.

The Aurora Base Control (ABC) features a microprocessor control to sequence all components during operation for optimum performance. Plus, the ABC provides easy-to-use troubleshooting features with fault lights, on-board diagnostics, and a hand held Aurora Interface Diagnostic (AID) Tool. Unit confi gurations include vertical top discharge (left or right return) and horizontal units with left or right return a side or end discharge. Heavy-gauge metal cabinets are fully insulated and coated with an attractive and durable gray paint for long lasting protection. The cabinet s rounded front corners and 3 Series nameplate add a touch of elegance to the appearance. 3 Series products are performance-certifi ed to AHRI/ISO 13256-1 standards , ETL listed, ENERGY STAR qualifi ed, and tested in an ISO 17025 accredited testing lab. As a leader in the industry, WaterFurnace is dedicated to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction.

In fact, every unit built is exposed to a wide range of quality control procedures throughout the assembly process and is then subjected to a rigorous battery of computerized run tests to certify that it meets or exceeds performance standards for effi ciency and safety, and will perform fl awlessly at startup. As further affi rmation of our quality standards , each unit carries our exclusive Quality Assurance emblem, signed by the fi nal test technician. WaterFurnace International s corporate headquarters ISO 9001:2008 and manufacturing facility is located in Fort Wayne, IN. A scenic three-acre pond located in front of the building serves as our geothermal heating and cooling source to comfort-condition our 110,000 square feet of manufacturing and offi ce space. As a pioneer, and now a leader in the industry, the team of WaterFurnace engineers, customer support staff, and skilled assembly technicians is dedicated to providing the fi nest comfort systems available.

This new standard has three major categories: Water Loop (comparable to ARI 320), Ground Water (ARI 325), and Ground Loop (ARI 330). Although these standards are similar there are some differences:Unit of Measure: The Cooling COPThe cooling efficiency is measured in EER (US version measured in Btu/h per Watt. The Metric version is measured in a cooling COP (Watt per Watt) similar to the traditional COP Conditions DifferencesEntering water temperatures have changed to reflect the centigrade temperature scale. For instance the water loop heating test is performed with 68 F (20 C) water rounded down from the old 70 F ( C).Air Conditions DifferencesEntering air temperatures have also changed (rounded down) to reflect the centigrade temperature scale. For instance the cooling tests are performed with F (27 C) dry bulb and F (19 C) wet bulb entering air instead of the traditional 80 F ( C) DB and 67 F ( C) WB entering air temperatures.)

Data may be converted to 80/67 using the entering air correction table. This represents a significantly lower relative humidity than the old 80/67 of 50% and will result in lower latent Power Correction CalculationWithin each model, only one water flow rate is specified for all three groups and pumping Watts are calculated using thefollowing formula. This additional power is added onto the existing power consumption. Pump power correction = (gpm x ) x (Press Drop x 2990) / 300 Where gpm is waterflow in gpm and Press Drop is the pressure drop through the unit heat exchanger at rated water flow in feet of Power Correction CalculationBlower power is corrected to zero external static pressure using the following equation. The nominal airflow is rated at a specific external static pressure. This effectively reduces the power consumption of the unit and increases cooling capacity but decreases heating capacity.
