2 S MCP9800/1/2/3 family ofdigital Temperature sensors converts temperaturesbetween -55 C and +125 C to a digital word. Theyprovide an accuracy of 1 C (max.) from -10 C to+85 MCP9800/1/2/3 family comes with user-program-mable registers that provide flexibility for temperaturesensing applications. The register settings allow user-selectable 9-bit to 12-bit Temperature measurementresolution, configuration of the power-saving Shutdownand One-shot (single conversion on command while inthe Shutdown) modes and the specification of bothtemperature alert output and hysteresis limits.
3 Whenthe Temperature changes beyond the specified limits, the MCP9800/1/2/3 outputs an alert signal. The userhas the option of setting the alert output signal polarityas an active-low or active-high comparator output forthermostat operation, or as Temperature event interruptoutput for microprocessor-based Sensor has an industry standard 2-Wire , I2C /SMBus compatible serial interface, allowing up to eightdevices to be controlled in a single serial bus. These fea-tures make the MCP9800/1/2/3 ideal for sophisticatedmulti-zone Temperature -monitoring TypesPICmicro VDDRM icrocontrollerMCP9800/02 GNDVDDALERTSDASCLK41235I2C PortI/O PortRPULL-UPPIC16F737 SDAGNDALERTSCLKGNDVDDALERTSDASCLK4 MCP9800 MCP98021235 SOT-23-5 MCP9801 MCP980312348765 SOIC, MSOPA0 VDDA1A2 MCP9800/02A0: A2, A1, A0 are internally set to (0, 0, 0)MCP9800/02A5: A2, A1, A0 are internally set to (1, 0, 1)MCP9802/03: Serial Bus time-out 35 ms (typ.)
